Join us in celebrating the 4th annual Kentucky Cider Days! From November 4th - 10th, there will be programming all around town and at Wise Bird Cider Co. in the Distillery District.
The crowning event, Cider Fest, takes place on Sunday November 10th, at Wise Bird Cider. You’ll have the opportunity to interact with many regional producers and taste more than 12 different ciders – including samples from Country Boy Brewing, Turtleback Ridge Farm Brewery, West Sixth Brewing, Maiden City, Monnik, AVAL, among others.
On the Move Art Studio, face painting and balloon tying will also be on site to help entertain the kids, in addition to bocce ball and cornhole for adults!

COUNTY CLUB A special main dish is available all week long – a scrumptious pork belly braised in Wise Bird’s Short Stories No. 5 Cider, served with grit cakes & maple chili crisp…smoked meats braised in cider? Yes, please!
COLE’S ON MAIN Cole’s cocktail is called A Wisely Foolish Plan, with Wise Bird’s Pomme Pomme cider and Pommeau, B & B liqueur, and Pama liqueur. A recipe card will be available to take home with you!
EPPING’S ON EASTSIDE will feature a cocktail called Jamaican Flannel with rum, Wisebird Commonwealth Gold, Averna Amaro, a splash Allspice Dram, a splash of Demerara syrup, and 2 dashes Angostura bitters. A recipe card will be available to take home with you!
CONSTITUTION Cider cocktail collab with one of Lexington's finest cocktail bars. Stay tuned for details…

Tuesday November 5th
A special way to watch the election. We’re calling it Better Together Kentucky in honor of the Kentucky Flag’s motto “United We Stand, Divided We Fall,” featuring special cider flights from Wise Bird staff, cider makers, and founders!
Wednesday November 6th
6:30 - 8p A special Paint and Pour to benefit the non-profit On the Move Art Studio (ticketed) will take place from 6:30 - 8:00pm!
Special Release: Our Assistant Cider Maker, Luke, will release his next test batch, Banana Split! A semi sweet cider made from Stayman apples and infused with a house made caramelized banana puree, a smidge of lactose for a creamy finish and infused with a hint of cherry (on top).

Thursday November 9th
”Apples & Aperitivo!” Little Fork & Wise Bird will release a special food & cider pairing. “Aperitivo” comes from the Latin word ‘aperire’ and means “to open,” which is why some cultures “open” their meals with a drink. “Apples & Aperitivo” is the combined efforts of Chef Ryan and our cider makers to provide a menu that marries food (think meats, cheese, pickled vegetables!) and cider in a deliciously intimate way!
Friday November 8th
Special Collaboration Release between Country Boy Brewing and Wise Bird Cider Co., at Wise Bird. Available all day! Come hang with folks from Wise Bird and Country Boy – and give our collab a taste! While the cider has not yet been named, it features Pomegranate & Cinnamon Cider and is a blending of County Boy’s house cider with our Stayman cider, infused with cranberry and cinnamon for a seasonally-sweet result! Like the falling leaves, this cider is tinted warm and brown, and makes for the perfect autumn treat.
A truly unique cider dinner at Ouita Michel’s Honeywood Restaurant is available from 5:00 - 9:00pm. Make your reservations here.
Saturday November 9th
12:00n - 1:30pm A fun PJ Party Themed Drag Brunch. Come cute, come cozy, and come ready to party with Benita Bloom & her darling friends for a drag brunch you won’t soon forget! Tickets here! (Doors at 11:30)
Special Collaboration Release between West 6th and Wise Bird Cider Co., at Wise Bird. Available all day! Come hang with folks from Wise Bird and West Sixth – and give our collab a taste! While the cider has not yet been named, it features Red Raspberry & Black Currant Cider and is a blending of West Sixth’s house cider and our Stayman apple cider, infused with black currant and red raspberry, bursting with berry notes throughout! The body is a gorgeous blush-pink, with a fruited nose and lightly sweet finish.
Sunday November 10th:
The crowning event, Kentucky Cider Day’s Cider Fest, takes place at Wise Bird Cider (1170 Manchester Street, Lexington, KY 40508) from 12 noon onward! There will be activities for the whole family: On the Move Art Studio will be on site to craft and paint with your kids, Twist ‘n Shout Balloon Tying will twist your favorite balloon designs, and the best face painter in town will make you into a goblin or a fairy! Or something else entirely! And for those who don’t want to get crafty, there’s always Bocce Ball and Cornhole!!
The main attraction of Kentucky Cider Day’s Cider Fest is the SPECIAL CIDER TASTING (tickets here!) where you can interact with many regional producers and sample more than 12 different ciders from the likes of Country Boy Brewing, Turtleback Ridge Farm Brewery, Fanny Cole Cider Co., West Sixth Brewing, Maiden City, Monnik, AVAL, The University of Kentucky’s winery, among others.
